🍳 About Me / Us in Brief

I am Mónika Fürnè Alföldi, a former freight forwarder, HR and payroll specialist. I worked for 14 years in logistics companies, then got married and started a family. After maternity leave, I did not return to office work.

👨‍🍳 About My Husband – Zsolt

Zsolt is a chef, culinary instructor, and pizza chef with over 25 years of professional experience. The idea for the pizzeria came in 2018 while he was working in Austria, where he mastered the basics of pizza making.

He once jokingly said that he would make pizzas at home after retirement… I, however, didn’t want to wait that long, so I decided to take the plunge. I learned, improved my skills, and launched my own business — which I hope he will increasingly be a part of.

🏠 The Beginnings

In the middle of the pandemic, when many restaurants were closing, we decided to start our venture. We opened our pizzeria in December 2020. An exciting and challenging period began, and along the way, an unexpected blessing came into our lives.

The pizzeria is mainly run by the two of us: Zsolt is the chef, and I handle orders and deliveries when there’s no courier available.

Although running the restaurant involves many sacrifices, the love, trust, and appreciation we receive from our guests make it all worthwhile.

🍅 What We Stand For

The secret of authentic Italian flavors is in the ingredients. Our pizzas are made from traditional Italian ingredients, hand-stretched, and stone-baked.

We put great emphasis on freshness, quality, and continuous improvement. The Grano Italiano flavor experience is the result of years of learning and experience.

Additionally, we also make whole-grain pizzas. We source BIO wheat from a local supplier, grind it fresh, and use it immediately — preserving vitamins and minerals. We especially recommend this for health-conscious guests or those living with insulin resistance.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🐾 Family- and Dog-Friendly

Our pizzeria is child- and pet-friendly. A small play area awaits children so parents can enjoy their meals in peace. Dogs are also welcome guests — they don’t have to wait outside.

🚗 Delivery

If you can’t come by, we deliver your favorite pizza to your home! Delivery is free in Csorna, and in a 10 km radius it costs 800–1200 HUF if a courier is available.
